Position Summary
Position provides EKGs, Holter Monitor placement and scanning tests on patients; collects and maintains patient data; maintains equipment and supplies.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs EKGs, transcribe interpretations and maintain EKG system.
- Assists with Holter and Event Monitor placement, disconnection, download, shipping, interpretation and charting.
- Assists with Stress Tests.
- Assists in patient charting.
- May provide backup to Heart Station front desk.
- Schedules patient tests.
- Assists Sonographers with patients.
- Assists in the training of other staff members as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
- Some college or allied health field experience.
- Basic understanding of the cardiovascular system.
- Ability to perform EKG's, Holter Monitor placement and scanning tests.
- Ability to interact with children and parents.
- Basic office skills.
- Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated Microsoft office suite abilities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent high school certification.
- CPR or BLS required.
