Performs electrocardiograms and other cardiographic tests as directed by a Physician.
Job Responsibility
- Performs electrocardiograms, including stress tests, holter monitoring and trans-telephonic beepers on patients as directed by a Physician.
- Provides patient with education concerning cardiac testing; explains procedure/process of cardiac testing and equipment to be used to patient.
- Ensures adequate stock of supplies and proper maintenance of equipment.
- Maintains general order and complies with Infection control policies for work area and equipment.
- Reports equipment malfunctions to appropriate supervision.
- Documents activities on approved hospital forms and according to department policy and procedure.
- Performs related duties, as required.
Job Qualification
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience performing EKG's.
- BLS required
