As the Environmental, Health, Safety & Security Coordinator (EHSS) you will support the site EHSS Manager and be responsible for coordinating initiatives to continuously improve the site’s safety culture. This role will promote and ensure a safe work environment through training and engagement of the workforce. The EHSS Coordinator will partner with managers, group leaders, team leaders and team members to train, audit and support the sustainment of safety initiatives. This role reports to the Manager of EHS&S, Facilities & Maintenance.

Essential job functions include but are not limited to:

  • Reviews current safety program training and recommends revisions, improvements, and updates. Presents materials and maintain records of participation in training sessions.
  • Performs regular on-site inspections of physical conditions, fire suppression systems. Participate in and support root cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve audit findings.
  • Coordinates activities to engage the workforce in the behavior-based safety program featuring peer to peer assessments and other means.
  • Supports the EHS&S Manager in complying with the Delta Faucet Company's standard procedures; conduct recordkeeping, tracking and conducting follow-ups on injury cases and near misses, completion of OSHA 300 Log and incident reports.
  • Maintains the facilities Safety Data Sheet database and guides users on system utilization.
  • Complete hazard observations and observe unsafe conditions and report both using Delta Faucet’s standard procedures
  • Supports and or facilitates site safety meetings.
  • Fosters and promotes a safe work environment for all through leading by example.
  • Commitment and flexibility to support employees across three shifts.
  • While performing the duties, the person is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. The person is occasionally required to ascend and descend ladders, sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Up to 10%+ domestic travel may be required.

Education, skills and physical requirements of the position:

  • Well qualified candidates will have a HS degree or GED and two years’ experience working within a safety fuction within a manufacturing environment.
  • Wearing appropriate PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection and safety toe shoes is required in production areas.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to drive a culture of safety.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to efficiently connect with all levels of an organization are required.
  • Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills, and experience with safety software is preferred.
  • Excellent problem solving and utilization of defined methodology.
  • Ability to develop or present training material, and lead group activities.
  • The individual should have the ability to read and interpret documents like safety rules, Delta specifications, Standard Work Instructions, job instruction documents, and aspects of Delta’s MOS (Masco Operating System), SFM (Shop Floor Management) system, QMS (Quality Management System) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the person is occasionally exposed to moving equipment, fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • The person must be able to understand basic reports and daily business requirements. Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and decimals.

Pay range for this position is $22.00 – $29.75 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills. Delta Faucet hourly team members are performance bonus and benefit eligible within 60 days from hire. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k match, life insurance, paid time off and more.
