To assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of environmental, health and safety (EHS) related compliance programs, including but not limited to, confined space, asbestos abatement, periodic health and safety inspections, Hazard Communication Standard, respiratory protection, laser safety, overhead cranes, radiation sources, lock-out-tag-out, forklift, industrial hygiene (air sampling, monitoring, etc.), materials and process review, electrical worker safety, personal protective equipment, fire code, waste management, wastewater management, air management, community right-to-know, training, emergency response, etc.

What You'll Do:
- Conduct EHS activities and assist company personnel operations personnel in correcting deficiencies.
- Assist the Lead Technician, Health & Safety Administrator, Environmental Engineers and Environmental Manager or others in developing, implementing and maintaining EHS related programs including, but not limited to, the Hazard Communication Standard, respiratory protection, electrical worker safety, laser safety, radiation sources, storm water, wastewater, solid and hazardous waste etc.
- Assist in conducting industrial hygiene monitoring including, air sampling and air flow measurements.
- Provide company employees with personal protective equipment as prescribed by the Health & Safety Administrator.
- Assist in gathering EHS related statistical data, as required.
- Conduct or assist in conducting EHS related training programs.
- Complete Purchase Requisitions and assist in developing scope-of-work requirements for various outside services and suppliers (submit for management review/authorization).
- Assist in the preparation of compliance reports, as needed.
- Ensure that laboratory analyses reports (associated with industrial hygiene surveys, wastewater sampling, asbestos sampling, etc.) are received. Perform initial review and communicate findings to EHS management.
- Coordinate various construction/facility modification projects that impact health & safety compliance and communicate associated information to EHS management.
- Conduct periodic documented inspections of hazardous waste storage areas and containers.
- Move large waste containers and other heavy items to required storage areas.
- Maintain safe, organized and clean work area.
- Maintain operating records as required by company policies and government regulations.
- Communicate information between company customers and the Environmental Health & Safety Department.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, production floor, or outdoors.
- Physical movement of large and heavy containers as required for compliance activities.
Hourly Rate: $21.63 - $28.85
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor's or Master's, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- As this position requires operating a company vehicle, an offer and subsequent employment are contingent upon possessing and maintaining a valid US driver's license and successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
A security clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position. However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $45000 - $60000
