We are seeking a qualified Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor for our operations in Arlington, WA. The Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor performs and participates in procedures and programs to minimize environmental, health and safety risks and is responsible for ensuring EHS compliance at the facility location.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Environmental health and safety facility inspections, audits, and trainings
- Environmental health and safety permit applications
- Environmental health and safety policy, programs, and procedures implementation
- Perform accident and incident investigation as necessary
- Provides directions to other department supervisors and plant employees in regards to safety and environmental matters
- Accurate and timely EHS reporting and recordkeeping
- Occasional travel to EHS training events
- May be responsible for additional plant operations
- Participates and contributes to company safety program
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Education (Required) High School Diploma or GED; (Preferred) Bachelor's Degree in Environmental or Safety Science
- Experience: 1 year + EHS consulting or facility EHS management in a manufacturing industry preferred
- Excellent understanding of safety best practices in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
- Ability to participate in field activities
- Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret governmental regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing within all levels of the organization and customers
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
