As a EHR SuperUser and Training Support Manager within the Office of Public Health Informatics, at the Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.
Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and coordinating an overall training plan for clinical, billing, and clerical elements of the EHR system in collaboration with district and state partners.
  • Coordinate and monitor certification and Training for EHR system.
  • Provide ongoing assessment of current and future training needs for EHR system and create annual education plan for staff.
  • Recruit Super Users/Champions in each district across the state to help support training for staff.
  • Serve as a broad subject matter expert for training and Training materials associated with EHR implementation.
  • Provide EHR-related support staff with guidance and support to effectively manage and support the efficient delivery of public health services at the District/county level.
  • Work closely with local district management and staff to understand and support their training needs.
  • Collaborate with district staff to ensure that full EHR functionality and benefits are equitably available to all Georgians.
  • Perform data/systems analysis and provide analytical insights and direction on training program development.
  • Participates in the EHR User and Training groups to learn more about the product to guarantee the agency is functioning at the highest level possible with the utilization of the record.

Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate degree in a related filed from an accredited college or university AND Two years of management/supervisory experience in health care services OR Two years at the lower level or position equivalent (HCM011)
OR
Master's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Three years of management/supervisory experience in health care services
OR
Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Four years of management/supervisory experience in health care services.
Note: Some positions may require certification and/or licensure.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent project management skills, including managing multiple projects.
  • Highly adaptable to changing situations.
  • Prior experience training staff in an EHR system.
  • Experience with creating training plans.
  • EHR certification.
  • Demonstrable competency in business analysis, technology implementation, change management, partner relationships, problem solving, project management, training, technical support, teamwork, compliance, quality control, analytics, and reporting.

DPH accepts educational credential recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered. DPH will contact educational institutions to verify degree, diploma, licensure, etc.
