Overview:

 

EHR Specialist

 

WVCI is looking to add a valuable team member to the Quality Department. The EHR Specialist will collaborate with the Quality Department on implementing a data quality strategy to exemplify WVCI’s shared values. The primary purpose of the EHR specialist is to support value-based care programs and other practice initiatives by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize the EHR system to deliver high-quality processes for patient care.

 

Salary range: $63,109-$91,367

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with department leadership on processes, system functionality, modifications, and output needs.
  • Manually compile necessary data, which includes extracting data and completing an analysis of data on a regular cadence while providing recommendations for workflow optimization.
  • Help to continually improve the implementation process through experimentation and expertise.
  • Work closely with functional and technical teams to guide the development of electronic medical record (EHR) training curriculum and educational resources; and identify technical solutions.
  • Will support efforts to provide Quality EHR training to new end users
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Requires Bachelor's degree in computer science, nursing, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in electronic health records, medical terminology, Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Adobe. Preferred experience with medical billing.
  • Excellent presentation, communication skills, and project management skills required. Must be able to commit to quality and deliver quality products and services and maintain professionalism.
  • Shows work commitment and sets high standards for self. Must be adaptable and able to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, deadlines, ambiguity, and rapid changes.
  • Is regarded as an expert in the technical/functional area and uses other expert resources when appropriate.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to experience prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, and other office equipment. Must be able to travel to clinic sites is expected.
