Summary:

Join our dynamic team East Hawaii Health Clinic Cardiology, where you'll collaborate with a dedicated and passionate group. This position offers diverse opportunities involving clinic care and inpatient/ emergency department coverage. Leveraging cutting-edge expertise and technology, you'll contribute to advanced diagnostics, short- and long-term management, and prevention guidance for various cardiovascular conditions. Our Cardiology team consists of 3 interventional cardiologists, 3 general cardiologists and 3 advanced practice providers. This position is well supported, both administratively and organizationally.

Responsibilities to include:

  • ER/Inpatient consult services
  • Proactively identify complications, encompassing medical and surgical complications, and communicate findings
  • Assist with continuity of patient care by troubleshooting and assessing clinical issues in both the inpatient and outpatient setting
  • Comprehensive care for adult cardiology patients in an outpatient setting and to support a busy interventional cardiology practice
  • Management and treatment of Atrial Fibrillation patients in the outpatient and inpatient setting
  • Management and treatment of Congestive Heart Failure patients in the outpatient and inpatient setting
  • Management of cardiac implantable devices including pacemakers, defibrillators and loop recorders in an outpatient setting
  • Evaluation of patients pre and post intervention including patient education, clinical evaluation, medication management in the office and message triage
  • Management of diagnostic testing to include treadmill stress tests, nuclear stress tests, echo stress tests and CPET testing
  • Complete charting in a timely manner


Education Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Master’s Program


Licensure Requirement:
Candidates must hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Hawaii, DEA, and Hawaii Controlled Substance

Medical Examination Requirement

Offers of employment will be contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment examination, which includes drug screen and other regulatory medical requirements such as, but not limited to, a tuberculosis (TB) screen. The cost for drug screening and blood draw for QuantiFERON and Titers, shall be borne by the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation.
