A GIS Analyst who possesses sound expertise in geospatial technologies and analytic methodologies. The analyst must be self-motivated with exceptional planning, critical thinking, analytical and communication skills. The Analyst must work well in team environments. Analyst will be responsible for data collection which will consist of collecting point, line, and polygon dredging features and updating dredging specific attribution associated with features. Analyst will also be responsible for QA/QC of the deliverables.

• Part of a team responsible for the collection, attribution, and delivery of GIS dredging data for the DoD
• Gather, identify, investigate and review dredging PDF sources to be used for attribution and direct geospatial application, work to be completed by following client guidance and supporting documentation (i.e. SOPs)
• Investigates and analyzes the use of dredge and placement area drawings and PDFs to be used for digitization and attribution within a geodatabase.
• Ability to distinguish various projection types and implements georeferencing, coordinate geometry, digitizing and other techniques to accurately represent data in GIS
• Creates, edits, manipulates, and queries geodatabases to conform to the standard schema
• Ability to demonstrate progress to the client and communicate issues related to unclear, missing, or incomplete information
• Ability to accurately prepare deliverables for delivery to the client
• Offer will be contingent on a background check
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major work in physical or natural science, geography, engineering, planning, computer science or a related field
• 2 Years experience with GIS
• Ability to interpret technical documents and apply them to a geodatabase format

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelors' in Geography, GIS, or related field preferred
  Experience w/ ArcGIS Pro
• Sound technical understanding of key technologies (GIS, CADD, Database) and systems
• Experience with mapping maritime or dredging data preferred

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $26.44- $31.25 per hour; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
