EFNEP Nutrition Educator l, Il, III
Job Summary
The EFNEP Nutrition Educator I, II and III is responsible for conducting the EFNEP Nutrition Program with limited resources for individuals who reside in rural and Urban communities in the designated service areas. This position targets limited resources (adults) with young children (0-5 years) and/or youth grades K-12. Under the Supervision of the EFNEP Nutrition Coordinator at Tuskegee University, the Senior Nutrition Educator will collaborate with Alabama State Nutrition Partners to provide outreach, training, and support to ensure targeted audiences receive the resources of the Nutrition.
Essential Job Duties
The successful candidate will:
- The EFNEP Nutrition Educator will be required to participate in organized and continuous training and in-service offerings for newly hired Nutrition Educators.
- The Nutrition Educator is responsible for seeking partnerships with appropriate community agencies, recruiting qualified clients and audiences, and scheduling Nutrition training, training, and graduating participants.
- Working within the targeted geographical locations, the Nutrition Educator will deliver specific and approved curriculum content.
- The Nutrition Educator will complete documentation and reporting of Nutrition impacts/outcomes.
- Must recruit and train pregnant and lactating mothers for the program.
- The Nutrition Educator must follow the guidelines specified by the EFNEP program through Extension to Tuskegee University and utilize the approved nutrition subject matter content.
- The Nutrition Educator must maintain records and provide data and evaluation feedback/input to support reports.
- Proper office management procedures and plans for effective public relations to promote EFNEP and Extension.
- The Nutrition Educator will follow established guidelines as required by the state of Alabama, the Tuskegee University Cooperative Extension, and the USDA.
- Other duties as assigned by the Project Director.
Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training)
- High school diploma or equivalent.

Skills and Attributes
- Must have a demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate nutrition activities and maintain accurate records.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license to travel within the target geographical area to provide training. (Mileage reimbursement is available)
