Performs routine, portable and ICU EEG testing without supervision. Performs LTME, NCV and EP testing without supervision. Provides EMG assistance. Observes and assists in Intraoperative monitoring.
Qualifications
Education required: High School diploma or GED.
Education preferred: Certification from a qualified EEG program of at least one-year duration and/or some college education from an accredited college or university.
Experience: 1) six months experience performing EEG testing 2) Minimum of three months performing EP and NCV testing under direct supervision of a senior tech 3) Score of 80% or higher on assessment test 4) recommendation from a neurologist indicating proficiency in assisting with EMG testing.
Additional Skills/Abilities: BLS certification required within the orientation period.
