Job Summary
The Educational Services RN Manager is responsible for managing and supporting the assessment of Marion Health's professional development/training needs and the design/development, implementation and evaluation of programs that facilitate professional development and continuous learning of employees. Identifies and incorporates best practices and lessons learned into program plans. Reviews evaluations of training courses, objectives and accomplishments. Makes assessments of effectiveness of training in terms of employee accomplishments and performance. Responsible for the management of new hire orientation, clinical orientation, annual and department mandatories, staff development and continuing education programs. This includes but is not limited to promoting self-improvement and development of staff, arranging speakers/external trainer, attending seminars/presentations, teaching classes, and ensuring the quality of organizational-wide training through effective needs assessments and evaluations, course design (learning activities, audio-visual materials, instructor guides and lesson plans), qualified instructors, training resource materials, learning reinforcement strategies and database maintenance. Manages Educational Services staff. Oversees regulatory compliance, analysis and reporting requirements to ensure proper compliance with regulatory standards including CME accreditation and other regulations influencing the healthcare industry. Responsible for oversite of maintaining all classrooms, conference rooms, as well as instructional equipment and supplies in addition to scheduling appropriate meeting rooms and facilities both onsite and offsite. Manages educational tracking and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Current Indiana Registered Nurse License.
- Five years recent nursing experience.
- Three years management experience.
- CPR certification or must obtain at next available class upon hire.
Preferred Job Requirements
- Teaching experience.

Working Conditions
