International Student Scholar Services
Manages ISSS’s immigration case management system, which facilitates daily compliance reporting to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Department of State for our F-1 and J-1 students as required by federal immigration regulations. Assists with the organization and execution of student workshops, trainings, and orientation programs each semester. Additionally educates and advises our Atlanta campus international students on areas related to complex immigration, academic, and cultural matters.

Liaise with various GSU departments and federal offices when students have complex immigration issues. Advise and assist students with complex immigration scenarios, including but not limited to reinstatement, change of status, and severe economic hardship authorizations. Conduct workshops and presentations as needed on immigration benefits and applications. Use Banner, Sunapsis, and SEVIS to report information, solve problems, and gather needed data. Assist with the organization and execution of various student workshops, trainings, and orientations each semester. Performs other related duties as assigned.Qualifications
Minimum Hiring Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.Preferred Hiring Qualifications: Excellent written and oral communication skills· Effective organizational skills· Knowledge of federal immigration regulations· Knowledge of university policies· Ability to work with a diverse population· Knowledge of the surrounding community and available resources
