Posting Summary:

Work in partnership with faculty, staff, and educational development colleagues, develop programs and resources that promote evidence-based teaching practices, equitable learning environments for students, and advance institutional curricular initiatives. Responsibilities include consulting with instructors regarding evidence-based teaching and instructional technologies, contributing to Center for Teaching & Learning (CTL) Scholarship of Teaching and Learning initiatives and program assessment (including evaluating progress towards Inclusive Excellence goals). Develop semester work plans with direction from CTL leadership team.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience):

Master’s degree and two – four years’ experience in higher education or related field, and/or demonstrated work experience in higher education to include one or more of the following: inclusive pedagogy; design, implementation, and assessment of faculty development programs; coaching instructors (particularly regarding equity-minded and inclusive teaching practices).
Knowledge of instructional design using inclusive teaching frameworks and practices to create equitable learning environments required. Learning theory and implications for effective instruction. Demonstrated proficiency in learning management and other instructional technologies. Effective communication, facilitation and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to establish rapport, give and receive feedback, and build relationships with faculty and other colleagues with diverse social identities, teaching philosophies, disciplinary contexts, and institutional roles. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, problem-solving as needed. Demonstrated ability to function productively in a dynamic workplace environment.
 

Desirable Qualifications:

Knowledge of group dynamics and processes, and/or intercultural communication desirable.

Special Conditions:

Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
