Job Title: IT Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Specialist II

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The EDI Specialist II is a mid-level IT staff position which focuses on supporting all the technical aspects of our Trading Partner relationships towards ensuring the accurate, timely, and uninterrupted flow of files via our B2B Integration Channels.

The EDI Specialist II will be involved in the daily maintenance and troubleshooting of moderately complex issues occurring within our data transfer & transformation tools, originating from our WMS, TMS or external partners. This resource will be expected to assist the IT Department with all reasonable requests and to maintain a professional, helpful, and cooperative demeanor towards all individuals they collaborate with during the execution of their duties. They are also expected to provide mentoring, assistance, guidance, and support to junior staff members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the daily troubleshooting of EDI issues resulting from connection or translation errors.
  • Act as a level one support for help tickets received for EDI Support, resolve, or escalate tickets as needed.
  • Maintains a high level of focus in providing excellent customer service to our internal and external customers.
  • Provide on-call support after hours as needed to ensure business continuity.
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, or related field. Work experience will be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical help-desk capacity. Experience in EDI support in warehousing, logistics, or 3PL settings is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the various file formats and structures used in e-commerce, including X12, XML, JSON, Flatfile, etc. is preferred.
  • Knowledge in secure file transfer protocols including AS2, SFTP, Web Service, etc.
  • Knowledge and working experience in relational databases and SQL.
