The Ecommerce Senior Site Merchandiser is a leader on the eCommerce team and responsible for creating a best-in-class customer experience by driving the strategy and execution of all online site merchandising for Jockey US and International ecommerce, including creating alignment between product strategies and customer journeys to drive merchandising opportunities, optimizing product navigation and promoting product discovery, and analyzing product performance to surface insights that help accelerate the growth of our ecommerce business.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Define activation timelines, product photography and copy needs, and work with internal and external partners to approve shot lists as needed, help approve final photography and copy, and review product data and content accurately communicates product details, features, and benefit
  • Develop and implement site merchandising strategies that drive conversion, promote product discovery, and deliver differentiated product experiences
  • Oversee on-site product merchandising to deliver a seamless experience through intuitive category navigation, product browsability, clear product taxonomy, promotional pricing strategies, accurate product details, product recommendations, and optimized linking and sorting strategies
  • Manage internal site search technology to implement intuitive product browse and search strategies, optimized internal search rules and advanced product recommendations.
  • Identify cross-sell and up-sell strategies and oversee implementation and performance to maximize sales and build customer baskets
  • Partner with buyers and product marketing teams to define and lead the development of impactful, revenue-driving product stories and experiences that align with seasonal product strategies and key stories
  • Utilize site analytics and customer data to optimize product performance, customer interactions with product categories and product stories, product assortment gaps, A/B test opportunities, and general trends in site use that can be applied to current and future site merchandising strategies
  • Manage site merchandising readiness checklist for catalog launches, site content pushes, promotional campaigns and more to ensure an optimal product experience
  • Provide strong advocacy for protecting and enhancing the customer experience with partners across the organization
  • Maintain strong awareness of the competitive landscape and latest trends.

 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, fashion merchandising, or a related field
  • 5+years relevant experience (experience in in retail industry a plus)
  • Experience leading others and building productive relationships with peers and cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrate logical analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and operate effectively when things are not certain, or the way forward is not clear
  • Possess natural curiosity with a sense of wonder and a desire to learn
  • Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities; ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to consistently prioritize and manage both workload and processes to meet objectives
  • Strong process orientation and ability to understand system dependencies is a must
  • Flexible and nimble to changing priorities
  • Experience using analytical tools to measure performance, determine improvements and innovations, and make adjustments accordingly
  • Experience communicating and presenting to various roles within an organization
