Description
Are you passionate about everything and anything electronics? Do you like to be up-to-date on the newest trends in tech? Do you like to be hands on, taking apart and/or putting together electronics and/or computers?
This position may be for you! The Recompute Supervisor leads a team of people in the identification, authentication, potential refurbishment and listing of donated electronics and computers. Thru your knowledge of trends, online marketplaces, strong research ability, proven background and sheer intuition, you will be responsible for identifying high value or high potential items from our donations channels and sorting it by category and listing it to our online sales channels.
Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees squad of up to 9 people
Responsible for revenue goals, daily production goals and quality of work
Provides hands on training and mentoring of team through daily stand-ups, one on ones and coaching logs
Delivers sales reports and executes business analysis to drive business and present to management team
Executes daily quality control checks of online listings and make suggestions for continued improvement
Provides strong onboarding training to new team members to help them get up to speed
Write product listings with detailed, accurate and trend relevant descriptions and titles
Review and research online marketplaces in order to make educated decisions whether items meet online standards
Identify and pull product for online sale on eBay, PoshMark, ShopGoodwill, OfferUp, Etc.
Test, clean, and or erase household electronics and Data Products for functionality, resell and/or appropriate disposal
Sort materials for Recycle, Refurbish, E-waste, Hazardous Material and Universal Waste for proper resale or disposal
Ensure the safety and destruction of data from donated equipment
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
Prior experience with Computer Testing preferred
Prior experience with Technology refurbishing preferred
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a team leadership role
Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a electronics or computer related field
1-3 years of experience selling items online
Digital photography background would be a plus (Adobe Lightroom 5 or higher)
Bilingual would be a plus (Mandarin/Cantonese)
Must be able to type 40+ WPM
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs unassisted
Ability to stand on hard surfaces for an extended period
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Ability to work weekends and holidays
Excellent in-person, phone, and electronic-based interpersonal skills
Ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups of individuals from a variety of educational, social and economic backgrounds
Proven leadership skills and ability to influence and partner/collaborate with others. Must be highly collaborative and open to multiple perspectives
Proficiency with, and ability to conduct, intermediate tasks within Microsoft Office Suite applications and various cloud based office applications
Ability to utilize self-learning systems
Possess a professional demeanor, poise under pressure with strong attention to detail, and well-developed time management skills
