Job Title: Ecommerce Product Manager - Cosmetics & Beauty Industry

Location: Azusa, CA

Position Overview: As the Ecommerce Product Manager for this globally recognized cosmetics company, you will play a pivotal role in defining and executing the online product strategy. You will be responsible for managing the online product portfolio, ensuring product listings are optimized, and enhancing the customer shopping experience. The Ecommerce Product Manager will deliver business value ensuring high-quality UX development and implementing all new features to improve consumer journey and retail experiences. The Ecommerce Product Manager must be able to work at the strategic level (generating innovative ideas for growth, change management) and at the tactical level (analyzing data, solving problems). The Ecommerce Product Manager will lead in-house and external team members to deliver a best-in- class direct-to-consumer ecommerce experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Portfolio Management: Curate and manage the online cosmetics product portfolio, including selecting new products, discontinuing underperforming ones, and ensuring a balanced and attractive assortment.
  • Ecommerce Strategy: Develop and execute an Ecommerce Product strategy in line with company objectives, including identifying growth opportunities and recommending product line extensions. Serves as a functional lead of the Brand’s direct-to-consumer site to ensure all aspects of site, as well as all marketing channels driving to it, meet profitability targets.
  • Website Expertise: Leads new site re-designs from a business standpoint and provide direction to all stakeholders on features that will drive business impact.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on beauty industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform product selection and pricing strategies.
  • Product Listing Optimization: Create and maintain product listings that are engaging, informative, and optimized for search engines, ensuring that our products are easily discoverable. Continuously analyzes website performance, KPIs, and customer feedback and responds quickly to diagnose and address issues or optimize the consumer experience.
  • Pricing Strategy: Collaborate with pricing teams to set competitive and profitable price points for our cosmetics products.
  • User Experience Enhancement: Continuously improve the online ecommerce experience for cosmetics products, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly interface.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Utilize data and analytics tools to monitor product performance, track KPIs, and make data-driven decisions to optimize product offerings.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, design, and development teams to launch new products, create compelling campaigns, and enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Customer Feedback: Gather and analyze customer feedback and reviews to make improvements to existing products and inform new product development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • 2+ years of experience in Ecommerce Product management, working with Web Developers, Engineers, Creative Agencies, UI Designers and QA to implement Web features.
  • Web design (UX/UI) and site architecture experience, direct design, and/or development/programming experience preferred. Coding is not required.
  • Online and Mobile product management, ecommerce, information technology, with responsibility for user experience development/management, e-commerce, online marketing, and/or online business strategy.
  • Experience in Direct to Consumer (D2C) retail brand strategy.
  • Management of multiple, concurrent projects in various phases of ideation, execution, or delivery.
  • Experience working with marketing, operations, sales & service, and analytics teams to develop launch plans and prepare business teams for post launch operations.

Salary: $75-85k
