Form of workPRIMARY PURPOSE:
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. Prepare students with skills to acquire academic and/or technical associate degrees. Partner with TSTC and MCC to become an adjunct professor for dual credit offerings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree from accredited university
Master's degree and 18 hours in the subject offered for dual credit (example, Biology, US History, English 1301-1302, Algebra, Spanish, etc.)
Valid Texas teaching certificate, with required endorsements for subject/level assigned
ESL endorsement preferred
GT endorsement a plus
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of subjects assigned
General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Calm and patient demeanor with students and others
Experience:
At least one semester of student teaching or approved internship
Previous college level teaching experience preferred
