Job Summary and Qualifications

To perform Echocardiograms and assist in Transesophageal Echocardiograms for the purpose of diagnosing possible cardiac conditions. Performs clerical duties associated with the processing of the Echo reports.

• Knows and understands the objectives, policies, procedures, and standards of the hospital and Echo Lab. 
• Knowledgeable of all echocardiograph procedures. 
• Knows operating principles of the equipment and all safety aspects related to the equipment. 
• Transporting of patient and equipment. 
• Routine cleaning, maintenance, and stocking of echo lab and equipment. 
• Processing of paperwork and reports. 

What qualifications you will need:

Experience: 

• One year experience in a cardiovascular-related department preferred. New grads will be considered with license.
• Echo experience also preferred however, EKG and/or Stress Lab experience is a plus 
  

Education: 

• Graduate of an accredited Echo program.

Special Qualifications: 

• CCI or ARDMS certification required. 
  
• Current BCLS certification from the American Heart Association required. 
• Must be able to work weekends.
• Must be flexible to work days or some evenings.
• Must be able to work holidays.
• Must be able to work a call rotation.
