Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated ECHO Tech to join our team and contribute to the success of our healthcare organization. As an ECHO Tech, you will play a crucial role in performing echocardiograms and assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. Your expertise in echocardiography procedures and your commitment to providing high-quality patient care will be highly valued in our dynamic and patient-centric environment.
Job Requirements:
1. Education and Certification:
- Graduation from an accredited echocardiography program.
- ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification in Echocardiography or CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) certification preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
2. Echocardiography Skills:
- Proficiency in performing echocardiograms, including 2D, M-Mode, Doppler, and color flow imaging.
- Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
- Ability to accurately measure and analyze cardiac structures and functions.
3. Equipment Operation:
- Competence in operating and maintaining echocardiography equipment.
- Familiarity with image optimization techniques.
4. Patient Care:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
- Compassion and empathy while working with patients.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during the procedure.
5. Documentation:
- Accurate and thorough documentation of echocardiography findings and patient records.
6. Team Collaboration:
- Ability to work effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
7. Compliance and Ethics:
- Adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in healthcare.
8. Problem-Solving:
- Analytical and critical thinking skills to assist in diagnosing complex cardiac conditions.
9. Professional Development:
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with advances in echocardiography techniques and technology.
