Overview

The echocardiogram/vascular technician performs quality Cardiovascular diagnostic testing as ordered by the attending physician.  The echo/vascular tech is responsible for the distribution of tests to appropriate areas and personnel for timely interpretation and the immediate notification of interpreting physician of any life threatening abnormalities. 

Qualifications

Must be registered in Sonography by ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) or CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) currently or within one year of employment. CPR required within orientation period and must be maintained biannually.
