Job Summary:
This position works in collaboration with ECE staff to ensure children and families receive culturally relevant comprehensive services. Provides support and technical assistance to direct service staff in the area of family partnerships and community engagement, community resources and collaborations, training and coaching, data collection and reporting and providing best practices in working with families. Contributes to the development of the ECE Strategic Plan through gathering program outcomes.

Duties:
- Assist in recruitment, enrollment and maintaining waitlists of eligible families/children.
- Provide support and coordination for enrolled family orientations, family engagement events, family education events.
- Plan and coordinate topics for ECE staff in-service training.
- Collaborate with ECE staff to ensure meeting all regulatory requirements and program goals:
- Family Health Advocate-health screenings and wellness
- Mental Health Consultant/Early Relational CHR- behavioral health services
- Teachers- education and child development services & family engagement
- ECE management staff- family engagement services
- Partner with assigned families to identify child and family needs and appropriate ways of meeting those needs through goals and referrals.
- Assures program activities for families and staff adhere to budetry guidelines.
- Conduct regularly scheduled home visits with assigned families and as social service needs arise.
- Ensure regular communication with assigned families regarding screenings, assessments and on-going support for medical, behavioral health or other social services.
- Collect data and input into ChildPlus system to ensure accurate documentation of all family records, contacts and follow ups. This includes data input as needed of other data sources in regards to children and family services.
- Attend relevant staff meetings and trainings.
- Contribute to the development of communication, mutual respect, mutual support, competence and creativity among all members of the EC Program.
- Participate and support outdoor learning for all infant/toddler/preschool classrooms.
Education and Certifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Prefer A.A. degree or enrollment in college level classes.
- National Head Start Association (NHSA) Family Services Certification required within 12 months.
- First Aid CPR Certification. Food Handler's required.
- Washington Driver's license required
- Cultural Knowledge: Strong knowledge of history, traditions, language and lands of the S'Klallam Tribe.
Experience:
- At least three years working in an early childhood program providing direct client services working with children and families
- General Office Skills: Basic clerical skills, strong record-keeping and filing.
- Personal Computer Skills: Intermediate computer skills are required, as well as the ability to learn varied data entry programs (i.e. Child Plus)

Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to finger, handle, reach with hands and arms

- Frequently required to be in an outdoor environment rain or shine, to support classrooms in their outdoor land based curriculum
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move 50 pounds or more.
- Normal audio and visual acuity
Travel Requirements:
Local, statewide and out of state travel may be required.
