Job Summary:

An excellent opportunity exists within the Air and Space Defense Systems Estimating and Pricing organization. In this position, the employee will be responsible for the preparation of various types of proposals for development, production and competitive contracts including modifications to existing contracts. In addition, the Estimating organization supports gate reviews, government audits and negotiations with the customer. The employee will be expected to support programs onsite, with opportunities to work remotely as appropriate.

Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

• Support the development and understanding of proposals
• Work with other functions from across the company to develop the labor, material and other direct costs associated with proposed contracts
• Utilize company Estimating and Pricing programs and tools
• Develop detailed Request for Estimates which are used to kick off proposals
• Provide estimating support for the development of Basis of Estimates to include validating and analyzing actuals, ensuring consistency within task descriptions, and confirming estimating approach is sound
• Prepare and present limited complexity Gate 4 charts for program/company leadership review of proposal information
• Ensure proposals comply with basic FAR and internal requirements
• Assess and formulate potential solutions leading to a thorough proposal submittal
• Ability and willingness to gain special access clearance to work activities as appropriate.

Basic Qualifications:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience
• Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and/or other Government Procurement regulations as they pertain to Bid/Cost proposals
• Experience with Microsoft Office products
• Experience with Excel (i.e. basic formulas, lookup functions, pivot tables, filtering/sorting, etc.)
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.U.S. citizenship is required, asonly U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

• Effective planning and scheduling skills that lead to the completion of proposal efforts in accordance to customer and company requirements

• The ability to follow and apply internal and external regulations to the development of company proposals
• Working knowledge of ProPricer, the Raytheon pricing tool

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
