Job Overview:

We are searching for a dedicated and caring individual to become a Morning Kennel Assistant at Eastern Iowa Pet Resort. The ideal candidate should be passionate about animal welfare and ready to assist in the care and management of our guests. This role is pivotal in ensuring our pet resort operates smoothly from the very start of each day, providing essential care to our boarding pets.

Responsibilities:

• Animal Care: Conduct morning routines including letting borders out, feeding, and administering medication as needed, ensuring all pets have fresh water.
• Documentation: Accurately document feeding and medication administration within our CRM system, taking detailed notes on pet care and sending report cards as needed.
• Preparation for Opening: Confirm the facility is prepared and presentable for opening, including assisting the front receptionist with moving daycare and boarding dogs to and from the kennel.
• Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness standards by cleaning kennels, mopping rooms, and ensuring a hygienic environment for both pets and staff.
• Operational Support: Provide hands-on assistance with various daily tasks around the resort as necessary, contributing to the overall team effort.

Schedule and Compensation:

• Hours: Monday through Friday, 6 AM to 8 AM or 6 AM to 9 AM, with weekend work available.
• Pay: $10-$12 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
