TITLE:Early Elementary Music Teacher

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS degree
- Possess valid Michigan teaching certificate for teaching K-12 with a JX, JQ endorsement for music education
- Prior successful teaching experience preferred
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Responsible for instructing students at Y5, K, 1st, and 2nd grade, concentrating in Music Education
- Maintain proper classroom management
- Administer group-standardized tests in accordance with the district-testing program
- Evaluate students' academic and social growth, keep appropriate records, and prepare progress reports
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials and provide individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student
- Maintain communications with students, parents, staff and the community
- Participate in district professional development programs as required
- Any other duties assigned by the Principal, and/or designee
