Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teachers and an MS/HS History teacher to join our team. As a teacher at OCS. you will be responsible for educating and nurturing young minds, fostering a positive learning environment, and helping students develop essential skills for their academic and personal growth. Most importantly, you will have the opportunity to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the curriculum and educational standards
- Create a supportive and friendly classroom environment that promotes learning and respect
- Utilize effective teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to guide their development
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement educational programs and initiatives
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student performance and address any concerns
- Use learning technology effectively to enhance instruction and engage students
- Implement classroom management techniques to maintain a positive and orderly learning environment
- Support students with special needs, including those with autism or other learning challenges.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid teaching certification/license or the ability to obtain certification through our accreditation organization.
- Experience working with school-aged children
- Familiarity with learning technology tools and resources
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and promote positive behavior
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with students on an individual level
