Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the Early Childhood education program within North Providence Public Schools.
2. Responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive Early Childhood education program in compliance with state and federal regulations.
3. Responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating programs and services designed to support the educational and developmental needs of young children.
4. Collaborate with principals, teachers, and staff to ensure seamless integration of Early Childhood Programs into the school system.
5. Recruit, hire, and supervise Early Childhood education staff, including teachers, paraprofessionals, and support personnel.
6. Develop and manage a budget for the Early Childhood Program, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
7. Conduct regular assessments of program effectiveness and make data-driven decisions for improvement.
8. Establish and maintain strong relationships with parents/guardians, providing regular communication and support.
9. Foster partnerships and communicate effectively with community organizations, agencies, and stakeholders to enhance program resources and services.
10. Monitor and maintain program compliance with all relevant regulations, including safety and educational standards.
11. Prepare reports and presentations for administration, school committee and stakeholders as required.
12. Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in Early Childhood education and incorporate them into the program.
13. Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the district Early Childhood Program.
14. Evaluate all assigned staff.
15. Assist principals with coordinating and supervising safety procedures and practices.
16. Engage in building level Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and facilitate Response to Intervention (RTI) as necessary.
17. Provide professional development opportunities for faculty and staff as necessary or requested by principals, the Director of Student Services and/or their designee.
18. Attend professional development opportunities and keep abreast of current instruction and assessment practices.
19. Responsible for completing all relevant Rhode Island's Early Learning and Development Standards (RIELDS) trainings.
20. Responsible for counseling and disciplining students as necessary.
21. Work with families to provide support and guidance involving education, behavior, and social emotional learning.
22. Attend required administrative meetings during and after standard working hours.
23. Assume other generally related responsibilities as may be assigned by the Director of Student Services and/or their designee.
