Job description

                                                  Job Type Full time Benefits Eligibility Benefits Eligible Schedule 9-months Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm CST Salary Range Group 2 from $16.56 to $ 20.98 per hour
Position Purpose: Responsible to represent the Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Program and district in a positive way to students, staff, parents, and the total community. Performs work of a general office nature that assists with the smooth operation of the ECSE program.
Responsibilities:
Communicates, collaborates, and cooperates with colleagues, supervisors, and students.
Makes and receives telephone calls, takes messages, routes calls.
Collects and distributes mail as needed; sends faxes as needed.
Compiles and submits a variety of year-end reports, files and reorganization as needed.
Uses eTrition to track Nutrition Services account balances and sends low balance notices as needed.
Assists parents with making payments to Nutrition Services, collects, and posts payments, makes bank deposits as needed.
Prepares student 1:1 devices for distribution and collection.
Enter all student attendance records in PowerSchool as needed and calls parents/guardians to track attendance as needed.
Responds to inquiries from teachers, administrators, and parents regarding attendance and absences.
Coordinates monthly ECSE Community Screenings (coordinates with principal to set up dates for the year, scheduling parents/students, preparing student files, sending parent reminders)
Assists ECSE teachers and therapists in scheduling all IDEA related student meetings, follow-up with parent reminders.  Requests interpreters when necessary.
Accepts referrals from Early Intervention Staff, coordinates meeting schedules with Early Intervention, parents, and ECSE Evaluation Team.
Prints current class lists for classroom and main office red buckets.
Works with Administrative Assistant to maintain accurate bussing records.
Participates in all mandatory training or training appropriate to the position as required by the district.
Assists the ECSE Administrative Assistant with additional office duties as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of one-year previous office experience required.
Experience working with PowerSchool preferred.
Experience working at a school in a clerical position preferred.
