Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join the WTW Innovation & Acceleration team to support strategic innovation projects across the organization.

In this role you’ll be exposed to the breadth of I&A’s activities across ideation, concept testing and innovation culture. You’ll broaden your understanding of the business and will interact with a wide range of leaders both within and outside the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the organization and implementation of quarterly calls with the WTW Extended Innovation Network.
    • Work alongside the I&A team to propose/identify quarterly topics
    • Lead the planning and preparation for each call with WTW colleague and third parties (e.g., startups) as required
    • Facilitate meetings and lead any required follow up 
  • Contribute to the development of a new I&A Open Innovation strategy proposal
    • Work with the I&A team, strategy and WTW businesses (including leaders) as needed to conduct a review of the opportunities for Open Innovation at WTW
    • Conduct external research in startups, accelerators, competitor strategies
    • Contribute to a proposal for WTW Open Innovation opportunities
    • Contribute to implementation (if applicable)
  • Support I&A Innovation Leads in concept testing projects
    • Support Innovation Leads in applying design thinking and lean startup to identify the biggest challenges to concepts
    • Support Innovation Leads in designing and conducting targeted concept testing
  • Co-facilitate one or two Innovation Masterclasses
    • Facilitate or co-facilitate modules within our innovation masterclass curriculum
    • Conduct break-out sessions and support colleagues in learning and using the materials
    • Recommend any changes based on observations or participant feedback
  • Contribute to other   I&A projects!
  • Has good understanding of the fundamentals of design thinking, lean startup or product management (e.g. a graduate of the WTW Innovation Masterclass).
  • A keen interest in wider innovation beyond WTW – e.g., new technologies, new business models.
  • Possesses good understanding of at least one of WTW’s businesses and a willingness to quickly learn about the wider organization.
  • Has experience leading or managing innovation projects either at WTW or previously would be a bonus.
  • Able to work legally in the United States indefinitely and without Visa sponsorship
  • Accepting applications from candidates that graduate with a Master’s degree between May 2023 through June 2024 
  • Able to work 20-30 hours/week from May – September

Compensation and Benefits 

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only). 

Compensation 

 The hourly rate being offered for this role is $55-$65/hr. USD.  

This role is also eligible for over-time.
