EF Academy is a leading international education institution dedicated to providing high school students with a transformative academic experience. The EF Academy Preparation Program is designed to enhance English proficiency and prepare students for their academic journey at EF Academy. The program spans from April to August and includes two intakes, one at the end of March and the other at the end of June. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic and personal development of students as they prepare for their journey at EF Academy. This is a full-time year-round position.
Responsibilities:
Program Oversight:
· Oversee all aspects of the EF Academy Preparation Program, ensuring the smooth operation of the program.
· Manage residential life, including student accommodations and support.
· Organize and supervise cultural, extracurricular activities, and experiential learning opportunities.
· Develop and implement the program's curriculum to align with the EAL Department’s academic objectives.
Teacher/Student Management:
· Recruit, hire, and evaluate teachers to ensure high-quality language instruction.
· Provide ongoing support, guidance, and professional development opportunities for program teachers.
· Teach 1 class within the program.
· Conduct student evaluations and wellness checks and report back to home offices
Curriculum Development:
· Collaborate closely with the English as an Additional Language (EAL) department to align the program's curriculum with EAL academic standards.
· Continuously update and improve the curriculum to meet the evolving needs of students.
Promotion and Outreach:
· Travel during the school year to various international markets to promote the EF Academy Preparation Program.
· Work closely with EF offices and teams worldwide to set up speaking evaluations and admissions interviews for prospective program students.
Qualifications:
· Master's degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) or a related field in education.
· Teaching experience in English language instruction.
· Leadership experience, particularly in educational program management.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Ability to work in a multicultural and international environment.
Additional Information:
· Full-time exempt role.
· Compensation range $80,000-85,000 annually
