Your Role: As the Manager of Operations, you are responsible for managing, coaching and training your team of employees to meet established productivity requirements. Your goal is to ensure your team maintains the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, performance, and engagement.
This manager role will include priority setting, maintaining work standards, guiding the daily workflow of the warehouse & customer service staff. Improving performance with existing KPIs and developing more processes and measurables all while creating a positive work environment through real-time coaching and feedback.
Responsibilities Include:
● Lead the day-to-day operations in a fast paced, e-commerce distribution environment
● Promote positive team morale through effective communication and recognition
● Collaborate with management on productivity planning, operations and staffing needs
● Troubleshoot day-to-day problems and identify long-term resolutions
● Facilitate reviews, interviews, hiring, terminations, and corrective counseling
● Ensure fiscal responsibility through labor and supply cost control
● Manage/monitor e-Commerce channel performance metrics
● Maintain established KPIs and modify/develop new ones to drive operational excellence
● Develop workflows to streamline processes and track to show the results
● Work with vendors to improve efficiencies
● Work with direct reports to execute the accurate processing of e-commerce orders
Requirements:
● Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Logistics, Supply chain or Equivalent Work
Experience
● 3-5 years previous management experience, preferably in a warehouse or distribution center
environment
● Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and strong attention to detail
● PC skills including Microsoft Office and Google Suite
● Good reasoning, analytical, and problem-solving skills
● Schedule flexibility, including weekends
● Ability to step in and support other departments as needed - this position does require working on occasion in a non-temperature controlled warehouse environment.
Bonus Points that will help with management:
● Experience with customer support
● Experience shipping with USPS and UPS
● Familiarity with cars any and all makes and models helpful
● Experience with Amazon FBA/FBM
Schedule:
6 days/wk : M-Sat. 8am-3pm. In some cases you may be required to work until 5pm based on the needs of the business.
This position requires 40-45 hours a week depending on workload and season (Rain=BusyTime)
Experience:
● Supply chain management: 3 years (Preferred)
● E-commerce: 3 years (Preferred)
