Dye Weigher Mixer - 3rd Shift

Tex Tech Coatings is located at 215 Drummond Street in Kernersville, NC. This position reports to the Mixing Manufacturing Manager and the shift is 12 a.m. - 8 a.m. Monday - Friday with overtime as needed. This position requires passing a short math test.

The pay for this position is $21.35/hour.

Job Duties

1. Work in a safe manner at all times.
2. Receive, unload, and store all incoming chemicals. Take samples and deliver to lab.
3. Inventory chemical mixes daily.
4. Prepare all chemical mixes per batch card based on amount needed. Determine amount needed by using productions yards and pickup figures.
5. Set valves and pumps to deliver chemicals to frames.
6. Pump back mixes to proper tanks and wash out lines completely.
7. Clean out empty tote tanks and wash out lines completely.
8. Clean inside RFL tanks as needed.
9. Maintain housekeeping for safe, orderly operation.
10. Take samples of mixes for lab testing. Check pH and viscosity of mixes.
11. Ensure all equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
12. Perform simple mechanical maintenance as needed.
13. Will be cross-trained in at least one other area to remain productive during low volume periods.

Requirements

• Stands on tile floor for whole shift. Travels over a 300 ft. space approximately 8-9 times per shift. Climbs into confined spaces, approximately once per shifts, to perform cleaning duties. Lifts 50 lbs. rubber continuously and a 15 lbs. large rubber hose approximately twice per shift. Bends to floor level approximately 50 times per shift. Exposed to low levels of toluene, ammonia, formaldehyde fumes - required to wear goggles when handling these substances. Be able to perform mathematical functions including: addition, subtraction, calculation of fractions and percentages, and division.
