Role Description: We are looking for a Duty-Free/Sales associate to join the Slate Brands travel retail team. This position will directly support the travel retail team in travel retail research, outreach, and planning within duty-free related matters. Goal is to assist and work across various platforms, create and maintain strong relationships, find data within travel retail, as well as understand company systems.

The Ideal Candidate: A highly organized, efficient, and results-driven individual who is passionate about beauty and travel retail. This person is up-beat, detail oriented, able to multitask and can keep up with a fast paced environment.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to our Travel Retail Strategist
• Data organization and management through Google Sheets
• Outreach across various platforms and email
• Planning and attending shows and conferences
• Having various calls and meetings with connections
• Potential for a portion of the job to grow into sales
• Finding new contacts within Travel Retail
• May grow and work with a team while building out a new department of the company with high potential to scale

Qualifications

• Must have a basic understanding of travel retail and duty-free
• Must have strong communication skills
• Have an interest in beauty and a keen eye for trends
• Excellent organizational skills - very important, and being scrappy when needed
• Understanding of emerging technology and different retailers both locally and US based
• Existing familiarity with Google Suite, particularly Google Sheets
• The ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Details: Our office is located in Brooklyn, NY, but this is a remote position. We are looking for a minimum of 15 hours a week, and are flexible to your schedule.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
