Durable Medical Equipment Technician

First State Orthopaedics is seeking a full-time candidate to manage Durable Medical Equipment and fit patients for necessary equipment.

Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent. Strong computer and interpersonal communication skills required. Prior experience strongly preferred in fitting DME.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Working knowledge of EHR and EPM system, experience with Next Gen a plus
• Document and update patient information in EHR system
• Selecting and ordering equipment
• Ensuring equipment delivery to appropriate users
• Maintain equipment to ensure proper functionality
• Fit patients for proper equipment based on physician/clinical request
• Perform all work duties as assigned to meet the department needs
• Interact professionally with patients, physicians, and co-workers
• Follow pre-established guidelines and policies to perform the functions of the job
• Working knowledge of other FSO departments to obtain quality care for all patients
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, bend, kneel, squat, as well as maneuver and position patients
