Job Description: As a Dump Truck Driver at Acosta Excavating, you will play a crucial role in our operations by safely and efficiently transporting materials to and from construction sites. Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating Dump Trucks to transport materials such as soil, gravel, and debris to and from job sites.
• Loading and unloading materials using appropriate equipment and techniques, ensuring safe handling and transportation.
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the Dump Truck to ensure its safety and roadworthiness.
• Adhering to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure safe transportation of materials.
• Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate transportation activities and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Assisting with other tasks on the construction site as needed, such as equipment operation and general labor.
• Upholding a commitment to safety by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following all safety protocols on the job site.

Qualifications:

• Valid CDL Class A or B license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience operating Dump Trucks or similar heavy equipment in an excavating or construction environment preferred.
• Knowledge of and ability to comply with all relevant traffic laws and regulations.
• Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in outdoor environments and variable weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
