DSP (Direct Support Professional) - Entry Level

We are looking for Direct Support Professionals to make a positive difference with the elders in the program. The goal of each elder is to learn independence, which is driven by their Behavior Support Plan. You will work within a diverse population within the special need's community and family. If you are looking for an opportunity to make a difference and change lives for the better, then this job could be for you! On a daily basis, you can expect to:

• Relate with elders, understand what they are going through in their lives and build rapport
• Attend and accompany academic events, shopping, community integration, socialization skills, family reunification, and medical visits
• Show elders that they can change their lives on their own by giving them direction
• Use positive reinforcement and other techniques to keep adolescents on the right track
• Get moving and go outside to play basketball, tennis, hiking, bean bag toss and other activities
• Lead by example and have a positive mindset
• Assist youth with bathing, feeding, grooming and other daily living skills
