Lifehouse is seeking ICF Direct Care Staff to work with us in our mission to change the lives for people with I/DD. There are intermediate care facilities for people with I/DD, skilled nursing facilities, and skilled nursing facilities for special disabilities. An intermediate care facility (ICF) must provide at least eight hours of nursing supervision per day. It generally caters to patients who are mobile and more support.

Job description
Lifehouse is looking for ICF Direct Care Staff to join us in our mission to change lives for people with developmental disabilities! As an ICF Direct Care Staff you will be part of a great team working together in an ICF group home to support individuals with developmental disabilities. We are looking for staff who can work in multiple locations around Marin. Preference for availability Friday through Sunday.
What you will be doing:

• Assist the people you support with personal care and daily living activities.
• Ensure the highest level of independence and quality of life for the people you support.
• Support community integration and development of social skills through recreational activities.
• Monitor medication and accompany the people you support to medical appointments.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents and third-party agencies.
• Participate in team meetings and training as well as agency wide training opportunities.

What you will bring:

• Friendly, helpful attitude, willing to go the extra mile.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Prior experience with PWS strongly preferred. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities - or other experience if you find that it would be helpful for this position.
• CA driver's license, a minimum of 2 year driving record. Ability to pass fingerprint clearance and physical, including TB-test.
• Excellent attention to details and accuracy.
