We are seeking a skilled Presser to join our team. As a Presser, you will be responsible for operating pressing machines to launder and clean various garments. This is a vital role in ensuring our customers receive high-quality, pressed clothing.
Responsibilities:
- Operate pressing machines to press and finish garments according to established standards
- Inspect garments for any stains, tears, or damages prior to pressing
- Use appropriate techniques and settings to press different types of fabrics
- Remove wrinkles and creases from garments using steam or other pressing methods
- Ensure proper placement of buttons, collars, and cuffs during the pressing process
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deliver excellent customer service
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Presser or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Basic math skills for measuring and adjusting pressing equipment
- Strong attention to detail to ensure garments are properly pressed and finished
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Knowledge of dry cleaning processes is a plus
- Cash handling experience is beneficial for processing customer payments
