East Tennessee Research and Development facilty is seeking a contract Drupal Web Developer / Web Analyst for an upcoming project. This position requires competence in all phases of Drupal and web site and software development. Including advanced Drupal site development, requirements gathering and analysis, system design, prototype development, website design, configuration control, testing, software quality assurance, and website maintenance.
Specific duties include:
- Design, develop and implement internal and external web presence for NScD Scientific user Facilities.
- The ability and skills to built websites and Drupal based websites dynamically, this will require the knowledge of using web services to pull in various data from external resources and the use of advance website tools; examples PHP, MySQL, Oracle, SQL, HTML5/CSS and JavaScript/JQuery/JSON
- Monitor and report web statistics and data for metrics analysis.
- Create and develop visually aesthetic and appropriate graphics for web-based products.
- Incorporate excellence in design of navigational organization, usability, and accessibility of the website.
- Ensure website compatibility with customer-specified browsers and platforms.
- Ensure website conforms to ORNL#s branding guidelines.
- (8)Assist in translating ideas into aesthetically pleasing and accurate graphics with an attention to detail.
- Attend customer scientific meetings to determine needs and priorities and meet deadlines as specific by a client or manager.
- Ensure compliance with environment, safety, health and quality program requirements.
- Maintain strong commitment to the implementation and perpetuation of values and ethics.
- Interface with NScD communications staff to ensure websites are aligned with our communication strategy
