One Health is looking for someone to bring those life experiences to our communities, by helping to mentor and guide others who are impacted by BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CHALLENGES, to receive quality behavioral health services based on the community's unique needs.


POSITION SUMMARY:  Functions as a core member of the Drop-in Center outreach team that involves the Drop-in Center Manager, RCAT Team, and other community partners.  The Peer Support specialist is responsible for providing and coordinating warm handoffs, and mentoring to patients or potential patient families, who are impacted by Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and/or mental health challenges, and in need of behavioral health services and/or resource support.  The Peer Support Specialist (PSS) also provides experience-based input to guide the implementation of the strategic plan for serving local families according to the community’s unique needs.

 

COMPENSATION: $18.31-$18.91 per hour, DOE

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time

Education/Certificates/Licenses: 

Required

  • State certification for Peer Supporters (required to complete Peer Support 101 and begin certification filing process within 30 days of hire)
  • BLS Certification upon hire
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Master Narcan Trainer Certification (required to complete training within 60 days of hire)
  • Certified Trainer for Fatherhood is Sacred/Motherhood is Sacred (required to complete within 90 days of hire)

 

Experience:

Required    

  • Lived experience with SUD and/or mental health challenges
  • Minimum two (2) years with documented recovery from SUD and/or mental health challenges

Preferred
