Drop-In Child Care Coordinator

The YMCA is looking to hire a part-time or full-time Drop-In Childcare Coordinator. The Drop-In Child Care Coordinator focuses on the daily operations of the YMCA's PlayTown Drop-in Childcare Centers.

Drop-In Childcare Coordinator:

• Supervises the day-to-day operations of the two PlayTown (drop in daycare) sites at the Fercho YMCA and Schlossman YMCA
• Assures the sites are stimulating, developmentally appropriate, orderly, that appropriate discipline practices are utilized, and all procedures in the handbook are followed
• Purchases supplies, equipment, and materials as needed
• Connects and engages with members with the goal of increasing PlayTown usage and Family Household Package memberships
• Coaches staff on how to greet and welcome all parents and upon their return informs them in a positive manner how their child did during their stay in the PlayTown
• Supports and staffs appropriately for special events such as Parents' Night Out
• Interviews, hires and trains new PlayTown Staff
• Plans and schedules staff trainings to keep PlayTown staff up-to-date on developmental standards for different ages

Pay & Benefits:

• Base Pay: $18.44+/hour
• Part Time OR Full Time
• Scheduling: Days, Evenings, and Weekends as needed

Qualifications:

• 2-year degree in a directly related field or an equivalent combination of directly related experience,
  training and/or education
• 1-year experience supervising staff

Within 90 days of hire:

• 15 hours of basic childcare training through Child Care Aware
• CPR/First Aid Certification for Adult, Child, and Infant
