Responsibilities:
- Teach new drivers, both teens and adults, the foundations of being a safe and competent driver.
- Our Driving Instructors are equipped with a dual controlled car with a student who sits in the driver's seat.
- Clearly communicate with the new driver and their parents about where they excel and where there is more work needed.
- Travel to locations and landmarks all over the state of Massachusetts in order to provide a diverse driver education program
- Meticulously fill out paperwork to adhere to MA RMV reporting requirements for new driver education.
- Help students to develop not only their driving skills, but their self-confidence and understanding of freedom and responsibility. Our instructors have a real impact on the lives of their students well beyond a driver's license!
- Collaborate with peers and supervisors to deliver the most outstanding educational program you possibly can
Minimum Requirements:
- You must be an experienced driver yourself, with the ability to exhibit patience and follow the rules of the road
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Have held a valid State of Massachusetts Driver's License for at least 2 years.
- Must submit to a Federal and State of Massachusetts Department of Children and Families background check and pre-employment drug screen (marijuana is not permissible with this job)
- Outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work evenings and weekends (you will have a set schedule so your schedule will be consistent)
