As the General Manager of Store Operations, you would be responsible for process improvements within the store operations including improving store layouts for increased efficiencies, identifying and ensuring proper execution of defined projects, facilitating associate training and identifying potential market areas for increased sales opportunities within the organization.
General Supply is located at: 5920 Decatur Blvd, Indianapolis, IN 46241.
This position works in the warehouse receiving, picking/packing orders, loading trucks and stocking products/inventory. Works closely with manager and lead warehouse person. Provides truck driver replacement in time of need.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Order fulfillment – pulls orders for delivery
- Loads trucks for deliveries
- Handles customer pick ups
- Drives company truck for deliveries to customers when required by management
- Unload inbound product materials receiving and monitors all damages/shortages/overages and completes all required paperwork accurately, timely.
- Properly receiving shipments and putting away materials
- Assists in inventory and cycle counts
- Cleans warehouse and practices good housekeeping at all times
- Certified to and drives forklift and powered equipment for loading and unloading on time and putting away materials
- Works with Lead Warehouse person and traffic to route and properly load all trucks
- All other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must have active drivers license.
- Customer service skills.
- Forklift experience.
- Warehouse experience.
- RF guns and barcode labels.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift 100lbs.
- Ability to understand and read English.
