Driver/Mover

Best Deal Movers is a family-owned moving company based in Alpharetta, GA, which has been in operation for over 12 years. We currently have an immediate opening for Professional Drivers and are looking for motivated professionals to fill these roles and take part in our continued growth! The successful candidate will be detail oriented, function best in a well-structured environment, and thrive on organization and consistency. Ideally, the individual will have prior experience and motivation to manage themselves and their moving helpers get their trucks on the road each morning on time and deliver exceptional service to our customers. We offer competitive compensation based on experience, bonuses, tips paid to drivers & helpers, and additional benefits and perks will become available after a 90-day introductory period. CDL is not required for this position.

Job Brief

The need: Professional Drivers to take our trucks and helpers to aid our customers in their moves. Normal day to day routine for this position starts at 8:00am Monday-Friday and will vary on weekends. For “first thing” moves, the driver is expected to be on the road by 8:15 am with all necessary supplies and their helpers. Prior to leaving the warehouse, the driver is tasked with ensuring assigned truck’s safety check is completed, all supplies and job materials are stocked, DOT & Insurance cards are in the truck, and any issues are noted and tracked in the logs provided. Drivers will be tasked with helping our customers with one of their most stressful days and enable them to relax a little knowing they are in good hands (literally). The drivers oversee each move they are assigned and guide the helpers to be as efficient and smooth as possible while exhibiting the utmost professionalism and courtesy. Studies show how stressful moving day can be for anyone, so we make it our mission to pick up some of that stress so they can put it down. Transporting their personal belongings safely and securely from point A to B is the most simplistic definition of our services, but the people doing the moving are who these folks will remember. It doesn’t take much to make those memories great.

Required Skills & Education

• Valid Driver’s License
• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• Provide a Clean 3 Year MVR from DMV
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Prior Experience in moving service preferred.
• Ability to follow a process.
• Ability to work independently and safely.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Reliable transportation to and from office

Physical Requirements

Physically strenuous activity makes up a large portion of this job, including lifting (up to 75 lbs.) on your own up and down stairs. Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and even climbing are involved along with working in close confines with other movers. Regular use of a tablet is essential for this position. Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $18-$23/hr.
• Tips & Bonuses from Reviews, can make an additional $1800 a month.
• Schedule is Monday-Saturday, 7:30am start with end times varying based on workload.
