Driver/BHT

We are looking for a Driver and BHT to transport clients in a comfortable, safe and timely manner. The responsibilities of this role include arranging regular cleaning and maintenance services for the vehicle and planning each route based on road and traffic conditions. With taking on the BHT role this position will assist in the admissions process; answer questions and assists clients in adjusting to the program routine as well as run scheduled groups. Ultimately, you will help us increase customer satisfaction, making sure clients depend on us for their transportation needs. To be considered for this role, you should have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no traffic violations. Note that you don’t need to have a car; we provide drivers with our own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip
• Pick up clients and transport them to treatment each day.
• Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to-date on road conditions
• Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed
• Ensure the car seats are clean and comfortable for all riders
• Schedule regular car service appointments and report any issues
• Perform car wash and detailing services to maintain interior and exterior cleanliness of the car

Skills

• Proven experience as a Driver
• A valid driver’s license
• A clean driving record
• Minimum visual acuity of 20/50 (or corrected to 20/50)
• Familiarity with GPS devices
• Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
• Ability to lift heavy packages and luggage
• A polite and professional disposition
• Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
• A high school diploma

• Assists with the admissions process on new client admissions and orientation procedures and schedules.
• Facilitate all scheduled groups with clients.
• Know where clients are at all times.
• BHT's will be required to assist nursing and clinical staff as needed.
• Provides supervision of meals, activities, groups, etc.
• Supervise client's throughout the program with emphasis on client safety and well-being.
• Remind clients of program rules and regulations as necessary and report infractions appropriately.
• Provide emotional support for clients while referring them to clinical staff.
• Complete all assigned paperwork in a neat, accurate and timely manner.
• Complete all incident reports according to policy in a timely manner.
• Communication with other staff as necessary to promote quality client care.
• Participate in maintaining clean, properly supplied, and efficient work areas.
• BHT's observe and report safety and maintenance problems.
• Interact appropriately with clients, showing them respect while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Always maintain professional demeanor.
• Exercise sound professional judgement and seek assistance as necessary to effectively manage client behavior as a BHT.
• Perform other duties assigned.
• Protect the privacy of all client information in accordance with DreamLife Recovery's privacy policies, procedures and practices as required by federal and state law and in accordance with general principal of professionalism as a health care provider.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
