Job Overview:
The Driver - Water Quality Department is responsible for supporting all aspects of the TKPOA harvesting operations that occur during the summer season in accordance with the Waste Discharge Requirements and TKPOA's Integrated Management Plan.
Compensation: $25-27/hr
FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Your Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain all required equipment on assigned vehicle and trailers
- Direct and supervise the unloading of harvesters and fragment control boats onto assigned trailers
- Ability to operate a diesel truck and forty foot trailer in confined spaces
- Unload all harvested weed fragments into designated area
- Operate and maintain TKPOA Back Hoe (training provided)
- Perform first and second echelon maintenance on Harvesters and Fragment Control Boats
- Conduct daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance of assigned vehicles and trailers
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly reports
- Complete duties and support the AIS Management Coordinator as required
- Perform the duties of the Water Quality Supervisor and /or assume duties within the department on an as needed basis
Skills & Qualifications:
- Hydraulic, diesel engines and small craft outboard motors mechanical experience
- Map / GPS / Radio certification or training
- Ability to identify Lake Tahoe's Aquatic Plants
Education & Experience:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Valid Drivers License and State Mandated Vehicle Insurance (ability to obtain a Class B License and Back Hoe operator certification
- Must be able to work for entire specified season without taking any significant time off.
