Driver
Position Summary:
Drive a bus, minibus, or van to transport residents to and from scheduled group activities and individual resident appointments.
Qualifications:
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Must possess class C driver’s license and have a clean driving record.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Prefer prior experience working with seniors and successful operation of van/bus/company vehicles
Responsibilities:
- Drive vehicle to designated locations
- Assist residents in and out of the vehicle and provide escort as needed
- Secure passengers' wheelchairs, walkers and other equipment to restraining devices to stabilize equipment during trip
- Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
- Provide friendly, courteous and efficient service to residents
- Operate company vehicle/van safely following all laws and complying with all standards and policies for vehicle/van inspection and driving
- Maintains vehicle logs of all repairs and services, ensuring they are in safe driving condition
