Motivate is looking for Driver Helpers to ride alongside a driver for the purpose of relocating bikes throughout the system. To that end, you will load and unload the vehicle with bikes, and dock/undock bikes at every station stop. We currently have openings for our daytime, evening, and overnight shifts three days a week.
About the Role
- Load/unload vehicles with bikes and dock/undock bikes at stations
- Reboot stations, replace station batteries as needed
- Respond to station emergencies such as accidents for the purpose of cleaning up debris and delivering/replacing station components
- Communicate with dispatch using provided phone/radio/GPS unit interface
- Perform pre/post trip inspections for every vehicle trip and fill out associated paperwork; report vehicle issues/problems to management and dispatch
- Clean vehicles of litter and debris after every shift
- You are comfortable using a smart phone to complete tasks (i.e. Google Maps)
- You are comfortable working in busy outdoor urban environments
- You are dependable and know how to follow an assigned schedule
- You can easily follow instructions, respond to management direction, and solicit feedback to improve performance
- You are able to lift up to 75 pounds; stoop, bend, kneel, or stand for long periods of time
- Maintain a positive attitude and a positive customer experience to our riders
