Driver and Store Operations Associate

REPORTS TO: Branch Manager

SUMMARY: The Branch Operations Associate will be responsible for delivering product to customers in a safe, courteous and timely manner. As well as, assisting with customer orders and performing warehouse duties.

Driver Requirements:

Must have valid Driver's License

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Ownership of the entire customer experience. This includes appropriate product selection and accurate order entry and maintenance

. Understand, agree, and commit to the safety guidelines and behaviors set forth through our organization and comply with all process standards including wearing personal protective equipment when required

. Complete all warehouse activities such as, receiving, storing, picking, shipping materials and inventory control

.Transports incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas utilizing appropriate tools/vehicles to accomplish task including but not limited to hand dolly, forklift, electric dolly, and/or pallet jack,

. Inspect cylinders for defects/test date issues to ensure compliance with government/company policies

· Cleans and maintains company vehicles on a regular basis and when necessary

· Performs all deliveries while following all vehicle state laws and driving in a safe manner

· Relays all customer concerns to management

· Fills vehicle with gas or diesel

· Responsible for the safe loading and unloading of all full and empty cylinders and hard goods.

· Plan trip logistics and obtain necessary documents to transport goods

· Ensure material is secured properly and compliant with safety requirements

· Follow safety procedures for transporting hazardous goods

· Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspection of vehicle

· Manage bills of lading

· Maintain log books

· Report any incidents to dispatcher

· Report serious mechanical problems to the manager

· Performs other related duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers and management
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
• Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIORNMENT

• Continually required to bend, stoop, and kneel
• Continually required to talk or hear
• Frequently required to lift/push/carry items more than 50 pounds
• Continually exposed to outside weather conditions
• Frequently exposed to loud noise (examples: metal can manufacturing, large earth-moving equipment)

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
